Earthquake Video Caught in Cebu & Bohol Philippines

UPDATE #4: The death toll increases to 20 with 15 dead in Cebu, 4 in Bohol, 1 in Siquijor.

UPDATE #3: The earthquake death toll has risen up to 10; 6 in Cebu, 4 in Bohol. The stampede following the earthquake in Pinangumahan, Cebu killed one child.


UPDATE #2: Unknown number of people hurt after a stampede took place following the 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Pinangumahan, Cebu. The runway at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport received minor damage, but was deemed safe enough for operations to resume.

UPDATE: Parts of Negros Occidental in Cebu are reported blackouts due to the earthquake. Aftershocks are possible. ABS-CBN reports that Basilica Minore Del Santo NiƱo, the oldest church in Cebu City, Cebu has been damaged by the earthquake.

At 8:12 A.M. Tuesday morning, a major earthquake struck the island of Bohol in the central visayas islands in the Philippines. According to the USGS, the epicenter of the earthquake was located just south of Carmen town in Bohol. The ABS-CBN news reported that the earthquake was felt in parts of Cebu and in Leyte. They also reported that a building collapsed in Cebu city killing 4 people at the Pasil Fish Port. Other areas of Cebu and in Bohol reported minor to severe structural damage, including the collapse of the Loboc Church in Bohol. No word on injuries/fatalities there as of now.
